Duties of the Finance Committee
The general duties of the Finance Committee are:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of church property and building, including the contents and the grounds.
Manage the inventory of the church.
Maintain insurance coverage of the church building and interior contents.
See that the annual church budget is prepared, reviewed and presented.
Approve or reject purchase orders, and authorize payment of bills.
Review monthly income and expenses, and compare to budget.Report overages or shortages to Session.
Supervise custodial work.
Supervise rental arrangements of the church space.
Supervise church treasurers’ work and see that all financial records are audited or reviewed annually.
